Mathieu by David Alan Harvey, Puerto Rico 2020

Mathieu is a French photographer living in the UK. At heart he is a black-and-white photographer although he is open to the occasional colour picture if it adds to the overall emotion of the scene.

His interests lay between landscape, environmental portraiture and family photography. The connection between nature and childhood is of particular interest.

His photographic heroes include Henri Cartier-Bresson, Eugene W. Smith, Elliott Erwitt, Sally Mann or Raymond Depardon. More recently Mathieu has been mentored by David Alan Harvey.

His current projects include documenting his and other families' lives. He is also working on a book of portraits of people having changed jobs from completely fields (like he has done as he worked in Banking for about 15 years).

Mathieu is available for assignments.
